Abstract

Solitary respiratory papilloma is a rare epithelial tumor with an incidence of 3.95 cases/100,000 patients per year. This is classified depending on the location of the tumor, its histology and the number. According to its histology, it can be squamous, glandular and mixed. The glandular type is the rarest of all. Their location is usually central and they arise from the mucosal surface of the tracheobronchial tree. It is important to distinguish between glandular papilloma tumors from active inflammation, granulomatous disease, carcinoids and lung cancer due to their different prognosis.
